The Orange heads to Connecticut this weekend for a weekend series against the Huskies. Syracuse (3-3-0, 2-0-0) and UConn (1-5-1, 1-1-0 Hockey East) face off on Friday, at 7 p.m. and on Saturday at 3 p.m. Both games are slated to take place at the Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum.

Weekend Recap
• The Orange split its weekend with Quinnipiac at home, losing in overtime on Friday, 3-2, and then bouncing back on Saturday with a 4-0 shutout.
• All four goals between the two teams on Friday were scored in the second period. Sadie St Germain and Laurie Kingsbury had the tallies for SU. The Bobcats scored a power play goal with seven seconds remaining in OT to record the win. Jenesica Drinkwater recorded 36 saves in the game.
• It would take until the second period again for the Orange to score on Saturday. This time, Shiann Darkangleo found the back of the net. A three-goal third period secured the victory for the Orange after Kingsbury, Nicole Ferrara and Darkangelo scored. Goaltender Kallie Billadeau posted her second shutout of the season against QU.

•Laurie Kingsbury leads the Orange offense with five goals and four assists. The forward has tallied at least one point in all six games so far and is on goal scoring streak of three games. Caitlin Roach has a team-high five assists and one goal while Holly Carrie-Mattimoe has four goals and two assists. Melissa Piacentini is on a five game scoring streak, notching two goals and three assists.
•Goaltender Kallie Billadeau has totaled two shutouts in her first two starts this season while her counterpart, Jenesica Drinkwater, has a GAA of 2.96 and a save percentage of .886 and one shutout.

• The Huskies welcome Syracuse in its first home series of 2012. Last weekend, The Huskies won its first game of the season at Maine, 3-2, in overtime. The following night UConn fell, 3-2. Connecticut opened up the season, going 0-4-1, in its first five games.
•Michela Cava leads the Huskies' offense with four goals and three assists. Sarah MacDonnell is right behind Cava with two goals and four assists.
• Goaltender Elaine Chuli has a GAA of 3.44 and a save percentage of .899. Sarah Moses has seen action in three games and has recorded a GAA of 3.47 and a save percentage of .906.

• Syracuse is 2-0-0 on the road this season, after defeating Penn State.
• The Orange will play five-straight games on the road starting with its series at UConn before returning home on November 20th to host RIT.

• SU is now 1-3-0 at home after winning its first game at Tennity Ice Pavilion against UConn, 4-0.
• Syracuse dropped its first two games at home this season against New Hampshire, 4-3, and No. 10 Northeastern, 5-2.Â

• Redshirt freshman Laurie Kingsbury has tallied at least one point in all six games for the Orange in her debut season.
• Kingsbury ranks fourth in the CHA for scoring and second in freshman scoring with nine points (5g, 4a).
 • She is currently on a five game scoring streak (5g, 4a).
• Her five goals are good for third in the conference.
• Kingsbury is alos on a three game goal scoring streak with four goals.
• She tallied two goals and one assist against Quinnipiac.
• For her efforts against the Bobcats, Kingsbury was honored as the CHA Rookie of the Week.
• Kingsbury was also named to the CHA honor roll for the first two weeks of the season for her offensive efforts.

• Holly Carrie-Mattimoe's power-play tally in the third period at Penn State was the 17th of her career.
• Carrie-Mattimoe now sits alone at the top of SU's all-time power-play goal list with 17. Behind her is Julie Rising (2008-11) with 15.

• Carrie-Mattimoe has scored the most power-play goals in the history of the Orange (17) and only needs three more assists to move into second.
