SYRACUSE, N.Y.—The Orange is back at home after three straight games on the road and five to start the first six games of the season. Syracuse will face off with No. 4/3 Boston College on Friday at 7 p.m. and with Union on Saturday at 2 p.m.

SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
• The Eagles are currently ranked fourth in the USCHO.com poll and third in the USA Today poll, down from their second place ranking that they held since the preseason list.
• BC's only loss came against New Hampshire in a 3-1 decision. Boston College is currently on a two-game win streak.
• Haley Skarupa leads the Eagles in points with 12 in six games. She has scored seven goals, a team high, and notched five assists.
• Andie Anastos is the other sharp-shooter for BC, sending in four goals already this season. She has also assisted on two goals.
• Ten different skaters have scored goals and 14 have points.
• Corinne Boyles is the primary goalie for BC, playing in five of the six games this season. She has a 2.01 GAA and a .926 save percentage and a 4-1-0 record on the year.

AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS
• SU was 0-9 against ranked opponents last season after losing to No. 9 Mercyhurst in the CHA finals.
• Syracuse was swept by Mercyhurst in the regular season as well (ranked No. 7 in first meeting, No. 9/8 in second meeting).
• SU hung on with No. 2 Clarkson in December, but eventually lost 3-2 and 5-4.
• The Orange fell to #4 Cornell, 8-1. It was the most goals they allowed a team to score last season.
• Syracuse lost to No. 10 Northeastern, 5-2, in its second game of the 2012 season.
• All-time, the Orange holds a 3-36-1 record against nationally ranked opponents.

SCOUTING UNION
• Union enters Saturday's game with a 3-4-0 record, losing the its last contest to Penn State, 2-1.
• Courtney Turner leads the Dutchwomen in points this season with 8 on four goals (team high) and four assists in seven games played.
• Maddy Norton and Bryanne Panchuk both have one goal and four assists so far this year while Christine Valente has the second-most goals on the team with three.
• Shenae Lundberg has seen nearly all of the minutes in net and is responsible for all games played. She has a 2.39 GAA and .925 save percentage, allowing 16 goals.

HOME SWEET HOME
• In Syracuse, the Orange tallied a 10-8-0 overall record last season, going 6-4-0 at home against conference opponents.
• The Orange have had winning home records just three times in program history, going 6-5-1 in 2008-09 and 9-8-3 in 2010-11.
• All-time, Syracuse is 36-38-6 at home, which adds up to a .468 winning percentage.

WEEKEND AT PROVIDENCE
• The Orange spent the weekend in Rhode Island, playing two games against the Friars at Schneider Arena.
• Syracuse couldn't make a comeback in game one and lost to Providence 2-1 on Friday night. Brittney Krebs was awarded an unassisted goal in the third period but the Orange wasn't able to add to the goal total to force overtime and lost its fourth game of the season.
• SU turned things around on Saturday afternoon, taking a decisive 4-1 victory over the Friars. Four different players scored against PC in the victory including an unassisted goal by Caitlin Roach, a game-winning goal by Allie LaCombe on the power play and one each from Margot Sharfe and Julie Knerr. Roach, Scharfe and Knerr's goals were all their first of the season.
