SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Former Syracuse guard Scoop Jardine was selected by the Tulsa 66ers with the sixth pick in the third round of the NBA Development League Draft on Friday, Nov. 1.
Jardine was a late addition to the Cleveland Cavaliers' NBA Summer League Roster. He played in one game for the Cavs, tallying three rebounds and one assist. It was Jardine's first action since leading SU to the "Elite Eight" in 2012. The point guard had been rehabilitating an injury he suffered while preparing for the 2012 NBA Draft.
As a senior, Jardine was a Cousy Award finalist and a second team All-BIG EAST Conference selection with averages of 8.9 points and 4.9 assists per game. His 5.9 assists per contest in the 2011-12 season ranked second in the BIG EAST. Jardine finished his SU tenure with 1,265 career points and 619 assists, putting him at 35th and sixth, respectively, in program history.
Andy Rautins, a collegiate teammate of Jardine's at Syracuse, spent part of last season in the D-League with the 66ers.
