Â
"I am happy to welcome the Class of 2017 to our great university and hockey family here at Syracuse," Bradley said. "They are the first generation of Syracuse Hockey in The ACC. This presents a tremendous opportunity as well as a responsibility to build upon our past. I am excited to see how this group prepares, unites and grows to compete in the best conference in the nation. I look forward to their arrival in August and I am very thrilled to have the opportunity to develop this talented group of student athletes and teach them the Syracuse way."

In today's installment, Bradley announces the signing of midfielder/forward Lizzy Sack of Havertown, Pa. to a National Letter of Intent.
Â
Sack finished her senior season for Merion Mercy Academy with eight goals and 11 assists, bringing her career total to 19 goals and 20 assists for 58 points. Captain both her junior and senior year, Sack was named 2012 MVP at Merion Mercy and 2012 All-League Catholic Academies League. She was named All-State First Team all four years. Sack was selected to be a member of the AAU Junior Olympics Field Hockey team in 2011 and received second place honors at the Junior National Championships in China in 2012.
Â
"Syracuse appealed to me because of the opportunities that it will supply me with," Sack said. "Syracuse has the incredible combination of highly-competitive sports teams as well as the degrees that I intend to achieve in my time there."
Â
Sack led Merion Mercy to a 56-27-3 combined record in her four seasons.
Â
"Lizzy is one of the most determined athletes I had the pleasure of coaching," Merion Mercy Academy head coach Dani Delo said. "Her work ethic and desire to make an impact on the team drives and motivates her to accomplish as much as possible."
Â
As a member of the WC Eagles club field hockey team, coached by former Chinese National Team member Jun Kentwell, Sack won the National Club Championship in 2012. In addition to participating in the National Field Hockey Festival 2009-2012, as well as the National Indoor Tournament in 2009-2012. She participated in the Disney Showcase this year in hopes of once again receiving first place honors.
Â
"Speed, competitive and work rate are the three words that immediately come to mind when describing Lizzy," Bradley said. "Her presence, leadership and commitment to team will help us as we transition to the ACC. Her ability to use her speed, pass and vision of the field are very strong. Her physical size is also an advantage in her ability to defend and press opposing backs. I would expect Lizzy to provide quality minutes for us in the forward line next year. I am excited to work with Lizzy and watch her honor the footprints left by graduating All-American Liz McInerney. We will have another Liz wearing No. 24 for the Orange!"
