GREENSBORO, N.C. -Â Syracuse's Leonie Geyer was named ACC Field Hockey Player of the Week on Tuesday by the conference office. The senior midfielder scored the game-winning goal in both of the No. 5 Orange's victories last week.

Geyer began the weekend by scoring the game-winner in the 45th minute, breaking a 1-1 tie and sending SU to a 2-1 victory vs. No. 7 Massachusetts on Friday at Coyne Stadium. She followed that up on Sunday by netting the game's lone goal, scoring off a penalty corner with 4:36 remaining, to beat Ohio State, 1-0. The two wins extended the Orange's home winning streak to 38 games.

Geyer now has four goals and six assists for 14 points on the season. She is tied for the NCAA lead in assists per game (1.00) and for the team lead in points with Lauren Brooks.

Syracuse plays its first ever ACC game on Friday at No. 17 Boston College before returning home to host the national champion and third-ranked Princeton Tigers on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Coyne Stadium. The game will be televised live on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel and can be watched online via Orange All Access at SUathletics.com.
