The field hockey team is 5-1 in October
SYRACUSE, N.Y – Entering the month of October, the Syracuse University field hockey team had lost three of its last four games. Syracuse used the month of October as an opportunity to start a new season and is currently reaping the benefits from its outlook.

Since the start of October, the Orange owns a 5-1 record and has soared to No. 7 in the latest coaches' poll. Syracuse has knocked off two nationally ranked opponents this month in No. 5 Louisville and No. 6 Duke. The team has scored at least three goals on four occasions and held its opposition scoreless twice.

Syracuse is hitting its stride at the perfect part of the season, as it wraps up the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Massachusetts. Head coach Ange Bradley, junior goalkeeper Jess Jecko, and junior forward Emma Russell met with Cuse TV to discuss the team's mentality in its successful month of October.
