SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse women's basketball (20-8, 9-6 ACC) closes the regular season and determines its ACC Tournament seeding on Sunday at Wake Forest in a 2 p.m. tip-off at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

ORANGE STRONG IN '13-14
• An aggressive non-conference schedule, paired with a challenging ACC slate has helped the Orange achieve a No. 23 ranking in the latest official NCAA RPI ratings, released on Feb. 24.
• The Sagarin/CBN Ratings have SU 15th with the No. 13 strength-of-schedule.
• Syracuse went 11-2 in its non-conference schedule, the seventh time in program history the Orange was 11-2 or better after 13 games.
• The Orange has five wins over RPI top-50 teams, including No. 11 Saint Joseph's and No. 15 Texas A&M.
• Seven of SU's eight losses are to teams in the RPI top-25.
STANDINGS WATCH
• With ACC teams playing their final regular season games on Sunday, Syracuse goes in guaranteed to be either the fifth or sixth seed in the ACC Tournament.
• At 9-6, Syracuse is tied for sixth in the standings with North Carolina. While the Orange closes the regular season at Wake Forest, the Tar Heels play at home vs. Duke. SU holds a tiebreaker over UNC by virtue of its 78-73 win in Chapel Hill on Jan. 30.
• One game behind SU and UNC in eighth place is Georgia Tech (8-7). The Yellow Jackets play at home vs. Boston College on Sunday. The Orange also holds the tiebreaker over GT because of its head-to-head win.
• The top nine teams receive a first-round bye in the ACC Tournament, while the top four receive double-byes.
AN ORANGE WIN WOULD...
• ...clinch the Orange the No. 5 seed int he ACC Tournament. It would play the winner of the No. 12 vs. No. 13 game on Thursday at 11 a.m. on RSN.
• ...give SU 21 or more wins for the fifth-straight season and eighth time overall.
• ...tie for the fifth-best record in SU history through 29 games (21-8). 23-6 is the all-time best (2012-13).
• ...give SU double-digit conference wins for the seventh time in program history.
SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the first-ever meeting between the women's basketball programs at Syracuse and Wake Forest.
• This is the second ACC team that the Orange had never played prior to this season (Florida State).
SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
• Wake Forest is 14-14 overall and its 5-10 conference record has it 11th in the ACC standings.
• The Demon Deacons are No. 107 in the latest NCAA RPI rankings announced on Monday.
• Wake Forest is coming off a 71-56 loss at No. 7/8 Duke on Thursday night, its third straight loss. It lost at home vs. No. 2 Notre Dame (86-61) and at Miami (72-64) previously.
• Wake has the No. 1 and No. 5 scorers in the ACC in 6-3 junior forward Dearica Hamby (21.7 ppg) and 5-5 senior guard Chelsea Douglas (18.7 ppg). They account for 56.1 percent of the team's scoring as no other player averages more than 5.8 ppg.
• Hamby is also the ACC's leading rebounder (10.9 rpg) and is fifth in field goal percentage (.555).
• Douglas is second in the ACC behind SU's Brianna Butler in 3-pointers with 3.1 per game. She is 77-of-223 (.345) behind the arc.
• Jen Hoover (Wake Forest '91) is in her second season as head coach at her alma mater. She led the Demon Deacons to a 13-19 record in 2012-13 which included a 5-13 mark in ACC play.
IN THE POLLS
• Syracuse is receiving votes this week in both the Associated Press and USA TODAY coaches polls. It was previously ranked for five straight weeks in the AP poll and a total of three weeks in the coaches poll this season.
• The Orange was ranked an all-time program high 20th in the Dec. 23 and Dec. 30 AP polls. It was as high as No. 23 in the coaches poll on Dec. 23.
• The Orange debuted in the AP poll on Dec. 2 at No. 22 and was ranked for four-straight weeks.
LAST TIME OUT
• Brianna Butler led the Orange to a dominant 67-36 victory against Pittsburgh in its final game in the Carrier Dome this season last Sunday. Butler tallied 16 points and five rebounds and a team-best three steals.
• With this win, the Orange secured a first-round bye in the ACC Tournament.
• Seniors Phylesha Bullard, Rachel Coffey, Shakeya Leary and La'Shay Taft played in their last game in the Dome and were honored prior to tipoff. All four seniors tallied points led by Leary, who finished with seven points and seven rebounds, while Taft had seven points off of two 3-pointers.
• SU held Pitt to 1-of-22 shooting in the first half, not allowing a field goal until the 1:22 mark.
SENIOR CLASS TO REMEMBER
• Syracuse's senior class of Phylesha Bullard, Rachel Coffey, Shakeya Leary and La'Shay Taft were honored on Senior Day vs. Pittsburgh on Feb. 23.
• The class currently has the second-most wins in program history with 91, trailing only last year's seniors (96 wins). They are 91-41 (.689) overall.
• The class has gone to three-straight postseasons, including last years NCAA Tournament appearance.
• They have been at their best at the Carrier Dome, going 54-12 at home.
