Future Orange Compete in Under Armour All-America Classic

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Four members of the Syracuse women's lacrosse incoming recruiting class were named Under Armour All-Americans and participated in the Under Armour All-America Classic last weekend in Towson, Md.
Ella Hogan (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy), Neena Merola (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning) and Melina Woon Avery (Ardmor, Pa./Harriton) were member of the North squad, while Kathy Rudkin (San Diego, Calif.) played for the South team.
Hogan started for the North squad and picked up two draw controls and two ground balls and caused two turnovers. Merola came off the bench and had one caused turnover, while Woon Avery played the second half in goal. She made two saves to help the North defeat the South, 18-11. Rudkin started on defense for the South.
The group will join a team that has advanced to the Final Four in three consecutive seasons and has played in the championship twice in the last three years.
