No. 13 Syracuse begins ACC play with No. 1 North Carolina visiting the JMA Wireless Dome at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

The game will kickoff a huge doubleheader for the lacrosse teams, with the No. 2 Orange men hosting No. 1 Maryland at 6 p.m. Tickets for both games are available at Cuse.com/Lacrosse-Tickets.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse began its gauntlet of a start to the season last week, falling to No. 7 Maryland 9-5 in the season opener.

RANKING THE ORANGE
Syracuse is No. 13 in the latest IWLCA poll, and No. 14 in the Inside Lacrosse media poll.

SERIES HISTORY
Friday's game will be the 22nd meeting between Syracuse and the Tar Heels. North Carolina holds an all-time 13-8 lead in the series.

PRESEASON AWARDS
Syracuse had two players represented on the initial Tewaaraton Award Watch List, which was announced on Tuesday. Defender Coco Vandiver and midfielder Emma Muchnick both earned the distinction.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
The No. 1 Tar Heels enter the game riding a nation's best 23-game win streak, which dates back to the 2025 season opener. North Carolina went 22-0 last season, en route to the National Title.

Chloe Humphrey won the Tewaaraton Award last season, and returns to lead the UNC offense. She recorded seven points (3-4) in the season opener.
