No. 7 Alabama Hands No. 57 Syracuse its First Loss of 2015

Crimson Tide takes down 'Cuse 2-0
The No. 57 Syracuse tennis team dropped its first match of the 2015 campaign on Saturday, falling 4-0 to No. 7 Alabama.
The Orange, who hold the programs highest rank in over three seasons, moved to 2-1 on the season with the loss.
"We are disappointed with the loss today, but the ladies competed hard as usual and did a lot of positive things," said head coach Younes Limam. "We are looking forward to the next challenge against Princeton or Virginia Tech tomorrow."
Alabama got off to a fast start, taking two of the Orange's doubles matches before halting the third after the Crimson Tide had secured the point.
The tandems of Amanda Rodgers and Rhiann Newborn was defeated by No. 18 Erin Routliffe and Maya Jansen 6-2 and Nicole Mitchell and Olivia Messineo lost to Lucelena Perez and Natalia Maynetto 6-0/
No. 59 Valeria Salazar and Komal Safdar were triling Danielle Spielmann and Emily Zabor 4-3 at the time in which their match was halted.
In singles, Newborn rebounded to give No. 59 Jansen all she could handle. She fell 7-6 (8-6) in the first set and was trailing 3-2 when her match finished.
Rodgers also held her own against one of the nation's best, rallying after a first set loss to even things up at four each when her match ended against No. 25 Erin Routliffe.
Safdar's match was also stopped before it finished, she was trailing 5-3 in the second set after losing 6-1 in the first.
Alabama managed to secure its three singles matches in straight sets.
No. 56 Danielle Spielmann defeated Salazar 6-2, 6-2. Perez defeated Breanna Bachini 6-1, 6-1 and Maynetto defeated Mitchell 6-2, 6-0.
The Orange will next square off with the loser of Virginia Tech and Princeton on Sunday to conclude the ITA Kickoff.
