11-0 Start
- The Syracuse field hockey team is one of two teams nationally that's off to a perfect start through the first six weeks of the season.
- It's the third-best start in program history and a win Friday would tie the 2012 season for second-most consecutive wins to start a season.
-Â Syracuse started 14-0 in 2008, head coach Ange Bradley's second year at the helm, which is the best start Syracuse has ever gotten off to.
'Cuse vs. Louisville
- Syracuse is 8-3 all-time against Louisville, including 6-0 under current head coach Ange Bradley.
- The Orange have outscored the Cardinals 34-22 in the 11-game series between the two programs.
- 'Cuse comes into Friday's matchup having won their last six against Louisville, scoring 18 goals and giving up just seven during the streak.
- Sophomore Laura Hurff recorded the only multi-goal game of her career in the Orange's 3-1 victory over Louisville on Oct. 11, 2014. Senior Emma Russell also scored in the game on an assist from senior Alyssa Manley.
'Cuse vs. Indiana
- Sunday's matchup between Syracuse and Indiana will be the first meeting between the two schools.

- Syracuse is in the top-10 of eight different categories.
- The Orange is third in goals against average (0.80), second in goals per game (4.36), fifth in points per game (11.45), sixth in save percentage (.795), second in scoring average (4.29), second in scoring margin (3.48), sixth in shutouts per game (0.36) and is one-of-two undefeated teams in the country still.

- The Orange moved up to No. 1 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Poll this week, following wins over Monmouth and Cornell.
- The top ranking is the first for Syracuse since the 2012 season when the team started 12-0.
- 'Cuse received 915 points and 15 first-place votes to pass UConn, the previous No. 1Â team, who received 894 points and 25 first-place votes.
- Syracuse plays nine of the 20-currently ranked teams in the regular season, including six contests against the other ACC opponents (every league team is ranked).
- Syracuse has already defeated then No. 6 Stanford, No. 18 UMass, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 11 Boston College, No. 4 Virginia, and No. 17 Boston University this season.
- Syracuse has been ranked every week in the 20-team poll since the preseason poll of the 2008 season, a streak that spans 82 weeks.
Seniors Lead Active Players
- Senior Emma Russell is one of the NCAA's top-active players in scoring.
- She ranks second among active players in points (123) and goals (50), behind just Paula Heuser of Albany in both (143 points, 58 goals).
- Russell also is sixth in points per game (1.62).
- Goaltender Jess Jecko is sixth in career goals against average among active players (1.34).
Friday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Louisville, before traveling to Indiana for a noon start on Sunday.
