
Volleyball Lands Two All-State Signees

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse volleyball coaching staff announced the additions of all-state honorees Mackenzie Weaver and Kendra Lukacs to its incoming recruiting class of 2016.
"Mackenzie and Kendra and both great all around players who will come in and have a big impact on our program. They have both had a lot of success in their careers already leading their teams to successful season finishes. They both have great coaches and role models in their lives who have instilled hardworking values and have shown them the love for the game which you can see every time they step on the floor."
"Mackenzie and Kendra both are coming in with strong academic backgrounds, and place an importance on their studies. They want to create great opportunities for their future professional careers and saw Syracuse as a great place for that. These are not only the type of players, but the kind of people we want representing Syracuse University, and we couldn't be more excited for them and the rest of their recruiting class to join the team."
Mackenzie Weaver

Lexington High School
Captain, record holder, and multiple award winner, Mackenzie Weaver is a multi-talented student-athlete who will be furthering her volleyball career with the Orange. Throughout her high school career, Weaver has led Lexington High School to two district semifinals and one state semifinal while serving as captain her junior and senior year.
Filling the role of both outside hitter and middle blocker, she broke school records in hitting percentage, kills in a career, kills in a season, and kills in a match. Her 51 kills in a single match also set the record in the state of Ohio for kills in a single match.
Weaver concluded her high school career with a total of 1,631 kills, 1,083 digs, 510 assists, 145 service aces, 313 blocks, and a .406 hitting percentage.
She is a two-time All-Ohio honoree (2014-2015), a four-time First-Team Ohio Capital Conference member (2012-2015), and a District 6 All-Star Team member.
Kendra Lukacs
Outside Hitter
Calgary, Alberta
Bishop Carroll High School
As a four-year team captain, Lukacs developed into an all-state player and led her team to finish the 2012 season undefeated and claimed a city championship title her freshman year.
Lukacs' talents have been evident through her numerous honors, earning the Bishop Grandin Volleyball Invitational MVP and Best of the West MVP. As a senior, she was a Calgary Division I All-Star selection and was selected to the Lethbridge High School All-Star team.
Along with her high school team, Lukcas plays for U18 Team Alberta Youth-Jr National Team. Team Alberta claimed the 2014 Club National Championship title.
