
Track Takes on ACC Indoor Championships

The Syracuse track and field teams will open ACC Championships competition this weekend in Blacksburg, Va.
The Orange have one distance medley relay team getting underway on Thursday night, but the rest of the 'Cuse roster kicks things off on Friday.

Record Breakers
- The Orange has shattered a pair of indoor records this season, including Martin Hehir taking down the program's mile record, which he previously owned, at Penn State in January and Rebecca Robinson breaking the 400-meter record the following weekend.
- Hehir and teammate Justyn Knight became the first two Syracuse runners to go sub-four minutes in the mile at Penn State, with Hehir's time of 3:59.83 serving as the new Syracuse record.
- Robinson's time of 54.12 set the new mark in the 400.
Tops in the ACC
- Syracuse has a number of runners qualifying in the top-5 of their respective events at the ACC Championships, led by Donald Pollitt and Freddie Crittenden who are seeded one-two in the 60-meter hurdles both qualifying at 7.81 seconds.
- Shaina Harrison is seeded second in the 60-meter dash (7.39 seconds).
- Margo Malone has the fifth-best qualifying time in the 5k (16:12.95).
- Regine Hunter is seeded fourth in the triple jump (12.77 meters).
- Joel Hubbard slotted fifth in the mile (4:00.18).
- Jabari Butler has the third best qualifying mark in the high jump (2.11 meters).
- Reggie Morton (7.40 meters) is the fifth-best qualifier in the long jump.
