'Cuse Wins Second Straight Hoop Attendance Title

Orange Earn 14th Attendance Crown
For the second consecutive year, Syracuse claimed the average attendance title in Division I men's basketball, according to data released by the NCAA on July 6. The Orange posted an average attendance of 23,854 over 18 games to earn the top spot for the 14th time.

The program has earned the runner-up spot on the list 16 times, and has not dropped below the number four spot in the rankings since the opening of the Carrier Dome in 1980. The highest average attendance in program history came during the 1989-90 season when the Dome welcomed an average record of 29,918 fans per game.

The Orange fan base sparked an incredible streak of 11 consecutive attendance crowns from 1983-84 through 1994-95.
Syracuse had the largest, on-campus, regular-season crowd for the 35th straight season. The Dome game with Duke attracted 35,446, equaling the single-game record set in 2014 against Duke.
