
Women's Rowing Hosts Cornell in Scrimmage

Event begins at 11:30 a.m. in Liverpool
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's rowing team will host in-state foe Cornell in a scrimmage on Saturday morning at the James A. Ten Eyck Memorial Boathouse in Liverpool. Racing will begin at 11:30 a.m.
It marks the first time Syracuse will hit the water this fall campaign. It marks the third consecutive year that the Orange and Big Red will meet in the autumn on the Onondaga Lake Outlet.
Syracuse will use its scrimmage on Saturday as preparation for the Head of the Charles in Cambridge, Mass. The world's largest two-day regatta runs from Saturday, Oct. 22 – Sunday, Oct. 23.
Last year, the Orange competed in the Head of the Charles championship eight event for the first time since 2006, placing sixth. In addition, its pair of Christine Habjan and Yasmine Hemida were the top collegiate finisher.
