'Cuse vs. Duke
- For the second time this season, the Orange will face off in a battle of top-five teams, this time hosting Duke for the fourth matchup between the two sides.
- Syracuse has never lost to Duke, sporting a 3-0 all-time record against the Blue Devils. All three games have been decided in overtime.
- Last year's meeting between the Orange and the Blue Devils was decided 8:59 into the overtime period, as Alma Fenne scored the game's only goal to give SU the victory. The game was the final of the regular season for the Orange, who went into the ACC Tournament with a perfect 16-0 record.
- Friday's game is the annual 'Pink Game' for breast cancer awareness. Fans in attendance will be given pink Syracuse water bottles.
'Cuse vs. Cornell
- Syracuse and Cornell line up across the field from each other on Sunday for the 32nd time in the series history.
- The Orange has won three straight against the Big Red, as well as 24 of the last 25 between the two sides.
- Of the two teams' 31 matchups, the largest margin of victory came in last year's 9-1 victory for the Orange. In the last two years, Syracuse has outscored Cornell 14-1.
- Emma Lamison, Serra Degnan, and Roos Weers all scored twice in last year's tilt. Emma Tufts, Erin Gillingham, and 2015 grad Alma Fenne all added a goal apiece as well.
Steep Competition
- Syracuse's 2016 schedule features nine other teams sporting a Top 20 ranking in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Poll.
- Last year, the Orange played in 16 matches against ranked opponents, recording a perfect 10-0 record in such matches during the regular season, and a 15-1 record overall.
- The Orange has been in the top-five of 18-straight polls and top-20 of 94-straight polls.
ACC Stands Alone
- All seven ACC teams, including the Orange, are named on the Penn Monto/NFHCA Poll. The conference has three of the top four teams in the country, as well as five of the top 10.
- This week's poll is the 41st-straight that features every team in the conference.
- Syracuse has won 10 of its last 11 regular season games against ACC opponents, all of which have been matchups between ranked teams, and seven of which have been matchups between top-10 teams.
In Search Of The Record Book
- With five games left in the regular season, Lies Lagerweij's 11 goals are just six shy of the program's top-10 for goals in a season.
