Peterson and Sykes combined for 47 points in the win
WINTER PARK, Fla. – The No. 19/16 Syracuse women's basketball eclipsed the 90-point margin for the fifth time this season with a 92-66 victory against Old Dominion on Tuesday afternoon in the Florida Sunshine Classic at Warden Arena on the campus of Rollins College.

"We played really hard in the second half," head coach Quentin Hillsman said. "Our kids came out and grinded this game through. I am really happy with their effort. The played really hard and grinded this game out."
Old Dominion (5-4) led by eight points early in the second quarter. Syracuse flipped a switch, outscoring its opposition by 34 points over the remaining 28:13 en route to a 26-point win.
The Orange were efficient from beyond the arc in their victory against the Lady Monarchs. The team knocked down 12-of-31 3-point field goal attempts (38.7 percent), its best 3-point field goal percentage in a game this year.
Senior guard Alexis Peterson and redshirt senior guard Brittney Sykes, the nation's top-scoring backcourt duo, combined for 47 points on the day. Peterson led the way with 27 points, while Sykes added 20 points.
Freshman guard Gabby Cooper notched a personal-best 19 points against Old Dominion. Cooper hit five 3-point field goals in her 12th game of her collegiate career.
