
Reischman Reveals 2017 Schedule

Syracuse will host two home races
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse men's rowing program is coming off its best finish at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championship Regatta since 2012. Head coach Dave Reischman announced the team's 2017 schedule on Monday morning.
Syracuse will compete against six Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC) in regular-season competition, highlighted by two home races.
The Orange will open regular-season action against conference-foe Wisconsin on Saturday, April 8 in Skokie, Ill. Last season, Syracuse defeated the No. 12 Badgers in the first varsity eight competition in its regular-season opener. It marked the first of four wins against ranked competition.
SU will compete against Cornell and Navy for the Goes Trophy on Saturday, April 15 in Ithaca. The club is looking to claim the Goes Trophy for the first time since the 2011 campaign.
Syracuse will host Boston University and Columbia on Saturday, April 22 with the Conlan Cup on the line. The following weekend, the Orange will wrap up its regular-season schedule against Dartmouth. The teams will compete for the Packard Cup on Saturday, April 29 on the Onondaga Lake Outlet in Liverpool, N.Y.
Postseason competition begins at the EARC Sprints on Sunday, May 14 in Worcester, Mass. The 2017 national champion will be crowned at the IRA Championship Regatta in Sacramento, Calif. Racing will run from Friday, June 2 – Sunday, June 4.
