
Volleyball Adds Two More All-State Signees

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse volleyball program welcomes two more all-state players Aliah Bowllan and Dana Valelly to its signing class of 2016, joining Mackenzie Weaver and Kendra Lukacs.
Dana Valelly
Setter
Dallas, Texas
Ursuline Academy High School
The two-time team captain, MVP, and all-state honoree Valelly has developed into a talented student-athlete who will be furthering her volleyball career with the Orange. Valelly led Ursuline Academy to the Final Four in the TAAPS State Tournament all four years of her career, while also bringing home an AAU National Championship in the 16 Open division.
In her role as a setter, Valelly accumulated 800 assists, 238 digs, 73 aces, and 15 kills during her senior season. Her performance on the court earned her First Team All-State honors and State All-Tournament Team recognition her junior and senior years, along with being named the TAAPS 5A Setter of the Year during her senior campaign. Valelly also collected 5A All-District honors her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons.
Valelly's talents have been evident off the court recognized through her numerous academic honors. As a member of the National Honor Society, she's is a two-time All-State Academic award winner and the Skyline Juniors Heart and Leadership award recipient.
Aliah Bowllan

Pittsford Sutherland High School
Throughout her high school career and serving as captain her junior and senior year, Bowllan has led her team to two state championships (2013-2014) while earning her way to Under Armour All-American honors this past season.
Filling the role of Libero, Bowllan racked up 662 digs and 50 service aces during her senior year and concluded her high school career with 2,431 digs and 225 service aces. Throughout her career, she has earned First Team All-Greater Rochester honors all four seasons, was named the 2014 All-State MVP, and collected First Team-All State recognition in 2013 and 2014. She was a two-time nominee for Gatorade Player of the Year in New York state.
Off the court, Bowllan is involved in multiple organizations including Citizens of the World, Varsity Club, and the Business Honor Society.
