
Hurff and Team USA Open Junior Pan Am Games with a 10-0 Win

Laura Hurff and the U.S. U-21 field hockey team cruised to a 10-0 win over host nation Trinidad and Tobago in their opening match of the 2016 Junior Pan Am Games, Thursday evening.
Hurff took the field in the seventh minute of play as USA's first sub. Six minutes later, the U.S. notched its first goal on a penalty corner, before they scored twice more in the next-two minutes. They'd go on to score in the 28th and 29th minute as well to open a 5-0 lead heading into the locker room.
After a goal in the 43rd minute ignited the second half scoring, the U.S. would score four more times to provide a 10-0 final result.
Next up for the Americans is a matchup with Canada on Saturday.
