SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 25/21 Syracuse women's basketball team looks for its first conference victory of the 2016-17 season on Monday night against Virginia. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. in the friendly confines of the Carrier Dome.
Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 1-888-DOMETIX, or by visiting the Carrier Dome box office (Gate B) during normal business hours.

Monday's game will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra with Michael Tricarico (play-by-play) and Nicole Jones (analyst) on the call. Brian Higgins '04 will be live on the Syracuse IMG Sports Network. As always, follow @CuseWBB on Twitter for live in-game updates.

In their last outing, the Orange suffered a 91-76 loss at No. 8/8 Louisville on Dec. 29. Senior guard Alexis Peterson recorded 31 points against the Cardinals, becoming the first Syracuse player with consecutive 30-point outings since the 2003-04 campaign.

Virginia comes into conference competition with a 11-2 overall mark. The Cavaliers have won six straight games since a nine-point loss against Northwestern in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 1. Junior forward Lauren Moses paces the team in scoring, averaging 12.0 points per contest.

Syracuse and Virginia will meet for the eighth time on Monday night in the Carrier Dome. The Orange own a 4-3 advantage in the all-time series against the Cavaliers, winning each of the last four contests.

In the last meeting between the two teams, Syracuse coasted to a 91-57 victory at Virginia on Feb. 11, 2016. Guard Brianna Butler had a first half for the ages, going 6-for-6 from beyond the arc en route to a 23-point performance.
