SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 24 Syracuse women's basketball team looks for its fifth consecutive victory when it takes on Georgia Tech on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. from Hank McTamish Pavilion in Atlanta.
Sunday's game will be broadcast locally on the YES Network with Jenn Hildreth (play-by-play) and LaChina Robinson (analyst) on the call. Brian Higgins '04 will be live on the Syracuse IMG Sports Network. As always, follow @CuseWBB on Twitter for live in-game updates.
In their last outing, the Orange rallied from a 13-point deficit to score an 85-75 victory against No. 23/22 NC State. Senior guard Alexis Peterson led the way, setting a program single-game record with 45 points on the night. It marked the highest-scoring performance in the history of the Carrier Dome, by a man or woman.
Georgia Tech comes into the weekend matchup with a 12-4 overall record and 1-2 mark in conference competition. In their last game, the Yellow Jackets defeated Boston College, 71-67, on Jan. 12. Freshman guard Francesca Pan led the team with 17 points.
SERIES BREAKDOWN
Syracuse and Georgia Tech will meet for the fifth time on the hardwood on Sunday afternoon. The Orange lead the all-time series, 4-0.
In the last contest between the two teams, Syracuse notched a 71-52 victory against Georgia Tech on Feb. 7. Guard Alexis Peterson tallied a team-high 22 points, while center Briana Day notched 21 points and 12 rebounds against the Yellow Jackets.
