Records Fall at Villanova Open

Kadejhia Sellers' school record in the 400-meter dash highlighted the Villanova Open for the Orange sprinters. Tia Thevenin also broke her own school record from two weeks ago in the 60-meter hurdles.
Sellers crossed the line in 53.92 seconds to break Rebecca Robinson's record (54.12) from 2015 in the event. Her time was good for the overall win and serves as the 17th fastest time in the nation thus far. Cheyenne Trigg (58.50) placed 11th in the event behind Sellers.

Thevenin crossed the line in 8.21 seconds, besting her own record mark by 0.11 seconds. Her time was good for the win and is the 11th best time nationally thus far. Behind Thevenin was Danielle Delgado (8.63/3rd) in also qualifying for the final.

On the men's side, Winston Lee picked up a win to start the afternoon in the 60-meter dash. He crossed the line in 6.78 seconds

Freddie Crittenden III won the 60-meter hurdles in his season by posting the nation's second-fastest time in 7.67 seconds. David Gilstrap (7.99) finished in second behind Crittenden, while Chevis Armstead (8.06) and Richard Floyd (8.19) placed fourth and sixth, respectively.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Blackwood, Thevenin, Delgado and Sellers also picked up the win in 3:43.67.

Aviana Goode finished second in the high jump for the Orange, clearing 1.62 meters, while Regine Hunter finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.39 meters. For the men Randall Johnson led the way in the long jump, taking third (6.74 meters).

Justice Richardson finished fifth in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line in 7.81 seconds. She also posted a 7.79 in the prelims earlier in the day.
Victoria Parker placed fifth in the 200-meters (25.02) to headline a trio of Orange competitors in the event. Ebhani Blackwood (25.39) finished in 11th, while Richardson placed 28th (226.42). Kashif Miller placed fourth in the men's race, finishing in 22.18 seconds.

Pascal Bastein was the top 'Cuse finisher in the 400, finishing in 50.23 seconds, which was good for 11th.

In Boston, the distance group got started on its first-of-two days at the John Thomas Invitational. Freshman Rachel Bonner turned in the highlight in the mile, crossing the line in 4:51.99. Sydney Leiher and McKenzie Altmayer also competed, finishing in 4:52.56 and 4:57.12 respectively.

In the 3000, freshman Madeleine Davison cruised to win her section in 9:48.62, which was good for ninth overall. Kelsey Potts (10:30.55) also raced in the event, placing 43rd in the 63-runner field.
