SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 24 Syracuse women's basketball team looks for its fourth win against a nationally ranked foe this year when it plays No. 19/21 Virginia Tech on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. in Blacksburg, Va.

In their last outing, the Orange cruised past No. 14/14 Miami, 81-48, on Jan. 22. Redshirt senior guard Brittney Sykes (29) and senior guard Alexis Peterson (24), America's top-scoring backcourt, outscored the Hurricanes, 53-48.

Virginia Tech comes into the weekend tilit sporting a 16-4 overall record and 3-4 mark in conference competition. The Hokies are ranked No. 19 nationally in the latest AP Poll and No. 21 in the country in the most recent coaches' rankings. In its last game, the team suffered a 76-27 loss at Virginia on Jan. 26.

SERIES BREAKDOWN
Syracuse and Virginia Tech will meet for the 10th time on the hardwood on Sunday afternoon in Blacksburg, Va. The Orange own a 5-4 advantage in the all-time series, winning each of the past three meetings between the two programs.

In the last contest between the two teams, Syracuse defeated Virginia Tech, 60-39, on Jan. 10, 2016. Guard Alexis Peterson led the way with 16 points, while center Briana Day contributed 12 points in the victory.

The Orange returns to the Carrier Dome on Thursday night when they host Pittsburgh, looking to extend their program-record 16-game home win streak. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
