SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse outside hitter Ella Saada was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Freshman of the Week on Monday, Oct. 2. Saada's standout performances helped the Orange (11-6, 3-1 ACC) collect wins at Duke and Wake Forest.

In a 3-1 victory at Duke on Thursday, Saada tied for a match-high 15 kills and added eight digs. She led Syracuse to 3-1 triumph at Wake Forest on Sunday with a team-high 13 kills with eight digs and four aces.

In her first season at Syracuse, Saada ranks first on the team in aces (17), third in digs (112) and fourth in kills (104).

Saada and the women's volleyball team return home to face Clemson on Friday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. and Georgia Tech on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. Admission and parking is free for both matches.
