SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's tennis team will host No. 6 Georgia Tech on Sunday, March 26 at Drumlins Tennis Center. Match time is set for 11 a.m.
Syracuse (5-7, 2-3 ACC) is coming off of two wins last week. The Orange went to Lakeland, Florida and blanked Navy, 7-0. Then, hosted Clemson at Drumlins and edged the Tigers, 4-3, in a match that came down to the last set.
Miranda Ramirez has a 10-1 singles record in her first season with the Orange and has won nine straight. Dina Hegab, Gabriela Knutson and Libi Mesh have each won five singles matches this season.
Georgia Tech (16-2, 6-0 ACC) sits at sixth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 4-0 win at Pittsburgh on Friday. Georgia Tech features a trio of ranked singles players in Rasheeda McAdoo (No. 46), Johnnise Renaud (No. 104) and Paige Hourigan (No. 113). Renaud and McAdoo are also ranked No. 19 in doubles nationally.
