SYRACUSE, N.Y. --Â No. 5/4 Syracuse ends a stretch of four games in eight days when it hosts --/rv Virginia in the Carrier Dome on Sunday, March 5 at 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free of charge.

The Orange are coming off a 5-3 victory against No. 12/11 Northwestern on Friday, which improved their record to 6-0. Syracuse enters Sunday's game with a 1-0 mark in ACC play, while the Cavaliers will play their first league game against the Orange.

The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on ESPN 1200 AM and WJPZ 89.1 FM.

DEFENSE SHINES
Syracuse held its opponent to less than 10 goals for the fifth time in six games in its 5-3 win against Northwestern. The Orange shut out the Wildcats in the first half, marking the first time Syracuse did not allow a goal in a half since January 24, 2014 when it defeated Stetson, 24-0.

Freshman goalkeeper Asa Goldstock (Niskayuna, N.Y.) made eight saves in the victory and lowered her season goals-against average to 6.85.

SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS
After opening the season with a loss to Elon, Virginia has won two of its last three, including a 17-9 victory at William & Mary on Thursday. The win improved the Cavaliers' record to 2-2.

Four Virginia players have recorded more than 10 points this season. Maggie Jackson leads the way with 13, while Sammy Mueller has 12 and Kelly Reese and Besser Dyson have 11 apiece. Mueller leads the team in goals (12), while Dyson has dished out a team-high eight assists. Rachel Vander Kolk has started all four games in goal for the Cavaliers. She has a 12.38 goals-against average and a .303 save percentage.

SERIES RECORD
Virginia leads the all-time series with Syracuse, 11-8. The Orange have won the last four meetings between the two schools, including a 14-8 victory in Charlottesville last season.
