Orange Hosts NC State and Miami

SYRACUSE, N.Y.—The Syracuse women's tennis team will host NC State and Miami at Drumlins Country Club this weekend. The match against NC State is set for 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon followed by Sunday's 11 a.m. match against Miami.
The Orange (6-9, 3-5 ACC) are coming off of a 5-2 win over Louisville on Friday and a 4-3 loss at No. 50 Florida State on Sunday.
Ramirez continues to lead the Orange with her 12-match winning streak. She now holds a 13-1 record on the season. Ramirez's strong play earned her a spot on the ITA singles ranking at No. 79 this week. Knutson earned her eighth win of the season in her match against Florida State. Dina Hegab has claimed seven singles wins this season, while Libi Mesh has five.
No. 27 NC State (16-7, 5-5 ACC) comes into the match after 6-1 wins over both Clemson and Pittsburgh this past weekend. The win over Pitt was the team's sixth straight victory. The Wolfpack's first singles player, Martina Frantova currently holds a No. 59 ranking.
No. 42 Miami (5-9, 3-5 ACC) comes into the match after a 5-2 win over Florida Atlantic on Friday. The team will match up with Louisville on Friday before playing Syracuse on Sunday.
