SYRACUSE, N.Y. – With a record crowd anticipated, the Orange are set to host Pittsburgh at 2 p.m. in the Carrier Dome on Sunday. With over 13,000 tickets sold, Syracuse University expects to break last season's attendance record of 11,021 against Notre Dame due in part to the support of CNY Chevy Dealers and the Central New York community.  The game will air on ACC Network Extra and can be heard on Syracuse IMG Sports Radio Network with Brian Higgins on the call.
Doors open 90 minutes before tip-off and fans are encouraged to arrive early and explore Winterfest happening in the backcourt of the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse enters Sunday 14-5 overall and 2-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and is an impressive 9-0 at home this season. The Orange look to snap a two-game slide in ACC play following close road losses at NC State and Miami, both of which were decided by five-or-less points. Tiana Mangakhia enters the game after coming one rebound shy of what would have been the program's first points-rebounds-assists triple-double against Miami. The Australia native tallied 17 points, nine rebounds and 14 assists in the loss against the Hurricanes Thursday night.
Miranda Drummond and Mangakahia are averaging 20.6 and 19.1 points per game at home this season while the Orange is outscoring opponents by 16.4 points per game. The Orange is 2-0 at home in league play and shooting 40.4 percent from the field through six league games this season.
Pittsburgh sits 9-10 overall and 1-5 in the league. The Panthers are 1-4 in their last five games and have not won a road game since Cincinnati on Nov. 21. The win over the Bearcats is the only road win of the season for Pitt. Yacine Diop is leading the team with 16.2 points per game and is averaging 21.8 points since the turn of the new year. Kalista Walters is second on the team in scoring with 10.9 points and leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game.
As a team, the Panthers are shooting 40.5 percent from the field and holding opponents to 36.0 percent. Pittsburgh looks to get back on track after a 77-51 loss at home against nationally-ranked Louisville.
