'Cuse Closes Regular Season at Cornell

'Cuse closed out its regular season on Saturday at the Marc Deneault Memorial.

'Cuse turned in its usual dominant performance in the 60-meter hurdles. Orange alum Ramon Sosa won the event in a time of 7.89 seconds, where he was closely followed by Angelo Goss and Matt Moore, who each crossed the line in 7.90 seconds. David Gilstrap (7.99), Richard Floyd (8.15), Chevis Armstead (8.17) and Jamil Adams (8.34) rounded out the 'Cuse competitors in the final. Kelvin Almonte (8.47) and Andrew Aguilera (8.52) narrowly missed the final as well.

Tia Thevenin easily won the women's 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 8.44 seconds.

Eunice Boateng was the top collegian in the 60-meter dash (7.53 seconds), in what was a personal best for her. Orange alum and 2016 Olympian Flings Owusu-Agyapong won the event in 7.44 seconds. Imani Clark finished fifth (7.64), while Justice Richardson (7.74) and Victoria Parker (7.87) finished in sixth and eighth.

Aviana Goode won the long jump after she leapt to a persona-best mark of 5.83 meters. She then finished second in the high jump after she cleared 1.65 meters.

Olivia Elston and Kelsey Potts would finish fifth and sixth in the 3000-meters, with Elston finishing in 10:18.78 and Potts not far behind in 10:19.47.

Simon Smith won the mile in a time of 4:11.24, well ahead of second-place finisher Steve Neumaier from Cornell (4:18.20). Andy Paladino took third in 4:18.46, followed by Dominic Hockenbury (4:23.89) and Jared Lautenslager (4:26.75) in seventh and ninth.

Kayli Jones took ninth in the women's mile, with a time of 5:24.32. Ryley Higgins was close behind in 11th, with a mark of 5:26.05.

A group of Philo Germano, Pascal Bastein, Nathan Henderson and Aidan Tooker finished the DMR in 9:52.35 to pick up the win.

'Cuse took the top-two spots in the 300-meter finals, with Jamil Adams (36.05) and Jalen Racine (36.22), turning in the fastest times in the seldom run event.

Kashif Miller led the way in the men's 200, he finished seventh with a time of 6.91 seconds. Miller also ran a 6.90 in prelims. Chris Tucker (7.00) and Chuka Soronnadi (7.06), took 10th and 13th.
Randall Johnson finished fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.95 meters. Johnson also took fifth in the long jump, where he leapt to a distance of 6.87 meters. Pascal Bastein (6.80 meters) was right behind in sixth.
In the 800, Sam Somera (2:04.81) and Kwaku Agyemang (2:05.82) finished in 20th and 23rd, respectively. Cameron Bailey took 30th in 2:16.59. Hannah Loder finished in eighth for the women, crossing the line in 2:24.57, with Kerry Reilly right behind in 2:31.88
Matt Cavallaro led the way in the men's 3k, in a time of 9:11.78, which was good for 16th, while Declan Kottmeier took 24th in 9:20.02.
