Knight Wins Another ACC Championship

Justyn Knight captured another ACC Championship on Saturday, earning his third-straight ACC Championship in the 3000-meters, upping his conference title count to 15, with the win serving as his 10th individual title.

Knight's win comes a day after he successfully defended his ACC Championship in the 5000-meters, and with two ACC wins and 20 points, Knight was named ACC Championship meet MVP once again.
Knight cruised to a time of 8:02.57, bringing teammate Aidan Tooker right behind for a silver medal performance. Iliass Aouani (8:08.03) finished fifth, while Kevin James was right outside the scoring in ninth, with a time of 8:17.09.
Paige Stoner found the podium for the second day in a row as well, finishing her 3000-meter race in 9:19.10, which gave her a third-place finish. Elley Henes from NC State took the win in 9:18.67. Shannon Malone garnered points for the Orange for the second day in a row as well, finishing in fifth, with a new personal best time of 9:23.22.
Matt Moore claimed silver in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a personal-best mark of 7.74 seconds. Florida State's Trey Cunningham (7.70) earned the win. David Gilstrap (7.92) and Richard Floyd (8.02) took fourth and seventh. Angelo Goss – the top qualifier in the event – was DQed.
Tia Theveinin finished fifth in the women's 60-meter hurdles. Her time of 8.318 was 0.004 seconds out of fourth. Georgia Tech's Jeanine Williams (8.04) picked up the win.
Kadejhia Sellers finished sixth in the 400-meters. Her time of 53.73 points was 0.57 seconds behind Pitt's Desiree Garland, who took home gold.
'Cuse's women's 4x400-meter relay team finished eighth, crossing the line in 3:42.99.
The Syracuse men finished fourth in the team standings with 62 points, while the women garnered 27.5 points, which earned them 11th.
