Syracuse (17-6, 5-5 ACC) is hosting its second nationally-ranked opponent this season. The Orange are 4-1 inside the Carrier Dome against their last five top-25 opponents most recently defeating No. 11/12 Florida State on Jan. 7.
Rookie of the Week Digna Strautmane continued her hot streak against the Hokies on Thursday scoring in double figures for the fourth-straight game and topping 20 points for the second-consecutive game. Tiana Mangakahia chipped in 16 points and 13 assists, while Amaya Finklea-Guity and Miranda Drummond each had career highs in rebounds, with 11 and 13, respectively.
With her 13 assists against Virginia Tech, Tiana Mangakahia now holds the Syracuse record for single-season assists with 234. She currently ranks fifth in ACC single-season history and is only two assists shy of passing former Virginia point guard and current South Carolina Head Coach Dawn Staley (235) for fourth place. Mangakahia leads the ACC in double-doubles with 11 and is the national leader in assists and assists per game (10.2).
Louisville (23-1, 9-1 in the league) comes into the Carrier Dome fresh off a 77-41 win over Virginia and riding a 12-game road win streak dating back to last season. The Cardinals are 24th and 26th in the country in scoring defense and scoring offense, allowing 56.1 points per game while scoring 79.2 points per game. Junior guard Asia Durr leads the ACC in scoring with 20.8 points per game and is second nationally in 3-pointers made (119).

PLAY4KAY
The Orange have designated Sunday's game as the annual Play 4 Kay game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and the first 200 fans will receive a pink Syracuse water bottle. There will be a table set up in the Carrier Dome backcourt where fans can make a donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and during the game there will be a cancer survivor recognition.
The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, born on December 3, 2007, initially started by the vision of the former passionate, inspiring, and extraordinary NC State hall of fame coach Kay Yow. The Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research and related programs, assisting the under-served, and unifying people for a common cause. Since the Fund's inception, more than $5 million has been awarded for scientific research and related programs focused on women's cancers and serving the under-served.
GIRLS AND WOMEN IN SPORTS DAY
'Cuse will also be celebrating National Girls & Women in Sports Day by hosting a one-hour pregame girls youth sports clinic. Females aged 6-12 are welcome to participate in various drills alongside Orange soccer, volleyball and field hockey student-athletes. The Syracuse cheer squad will also be on hand to teach attendees a routine that will be performed during halftime.
The 2018 National Girls & Women in Sports Day is scheduled for Feb. 7. The annual event celebrates the importance of fair play, building awareness about Title IX and working together toward its promise of equal opportunity in sports.
