SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Alexandra "Sasha" Bull will attend Syracuse University and play field hockey for the Orange next season. The North Carolina state leader in goals and assists in 2016 and 2017, she tallied 59 goals and 60 assists during her four-year career at East Chapel Hill High School.
"Sasha is a versatile, skillful and competitive player," head coach Ange Bradley said. "She has scored many key goals in key moments for her high school team. Sasha is tough and has a good overview of the game. I am really excited to have Sasha as part of our Syracuse Family. Sasha is determination and flexibility to play the game rather than a position will be an asset for her as she challenges our returners for a starting position."
She's helped the Wildcats at ECHHS to a pair of North Carolina State Championships in 2014 and 2015 and semifinal appearances as a junior and senior. She was selected for the North Carolina All Star Game in 2016 and 2017 and was a four-time All-PAC6 Conference player. In 2017 she was named PAC6 Player of the Year en route to being named First Team All-State.
Bull was named the East Chapel Hill High School team MVP in 2017.
A member of the Carolina All Stars Field Hockey Club from 2013-2017, Bull is a multidimensional player appearing almost every position on the field for Grant Fulton's squad.
Bull says she chose Syracuse for the opportunity to compete on a championship caliber team where the coaches will push her to become the best player she can be.
