The Competition:
- Moore earned an automatic qualifying spot in the event after taking third in his quarterfinal heat in Tampa.
- Moore will race in the third heat on Wednesday, against Kentucky's Daniel Roberts (13.27), Youngstown State's Chad Zallow (13.69), Illinois' David Dendziera (13.40), Florida State's Trey Cunningham (13.57), LSU's Damion Thomas (13.39), Coppin State's Aaron Lewis (13.64), and Florida's Cory Poole (13.68).
- Moore bested Cunningham in the ACC final, edging him for second, while Cunningham finished third.
- Moore also raced Roberts in his semifinal heat in Tampa, with Roberts edging him by 0.13 seconds. He also faced Roberts head-to-head in the season opener at the Florida Relays, where Moore took second in his heat to Roberts by 0.09 seconds.
- In addition to competitors in his heat, he has raced Ro'Derick Spears
- Moore has also raced Cunningham, Roberts, and Kendziera in the same heat in the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, in an event that Moore finished 10th and earned Second Team All-America honors.
- The sophomore has qualified for both NCAA Championships, won an ACC Championship in the 60-meter hurdles and followed it up with a runner-up performance in the 110-meter hurdles to teammate Angelo Goss in the spring.
- His personal best time came at the ACC Championships, with a 13.84. He also raced to a time of 13.82 seconds in the NCAA East Prelims, but it narrowly had too much wind at his back to be an official PR.
- This is his first season at Syracuse after spending the 2017 season at Tennessee.
- It's his first trip to Eugene for the NCAA Championships, continuing Coach Dave Hegland's streak of having a hurdler in six of the last-seven NCAA Championships.
- Aside from 2017, where NCAA title hopeful Freddie Crittenden III suffered an injury at regionals that prevented his third-straight trip to nationals, 'Cuse has qualified a man in the 110-meter hurdles every year since 2012.
- The Orange have also seen three different men make the finals and subsequently earn USTFCCCA First Team All-America honors in the event over that time as well. Jarret Eaton (2012), Donald Pollitt (2013) and Crittenden III (2016) have all been first-teamers under Hegland.
- Hegland also helped Tia Thevenin qualify in 2017 on the women's side, so the Orange have had a hurdler at nationals in each of the last-seven seasons.
