MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. - A 7-0 shutout of College Hockey America foe Lindenwood gave Syracuse ice hockey its 100th conference victory Friday night in Maryland Heights, Mo. The Orange improved to 3-1-1 in CHA play with the win, and the contest featured freshman forward Brynn Koocher recording her first career goal. The shutout was junior goalie Allison Small's first career clean sheet as well.
"Kudos to Ciera Paisley for stepping in in net, I thought she did a real good job filling in for their injured goalies," head coach Paul Flanagan said. "I thought our kids moved the puck well and did some good things. It was good to see Brynn get on the score sheet with her first career goals. For us it's two points, and it's also an important victory for the program."

Of note:
- Koocher recorded the first two goals of her career.
- Sophomore Shelby Calof recorded her first goal of the year.
- Small recorded the first shutout of her career. She recorded nine stops in the win.
- Junior Jessica DiGirolamo scored twice, tying her career high.
- Anna Leschyshyn now leads all Orange freshmen in scoring after scoring her third of the year.
- Redshirt senior captain Lindsay Eastwood had four helpers on the night.
How it happened:
- The Orange opened scoring just two minutes into play when DiGirolamo sent in a screamer from the right point. The 1-0 lead held until halfway through the period when Calof lit the lamp from the left faceoff dot. DiGirolamo then added her second of the night minutes later on a low shovel infront of Lindenwood goaltender Cierra Paisley. Junior Emma Polaski closed out the first with a goal from the bottom of the left circle.
- Things settled down in the second period until the final two minutes when Koocher sounded the horn off an uncontested wrister from between the circles, her goal putting 'Cuse up 5-0. Syracuse lit the lamp once again moments later when Leschyshyn found the back of the net in the dying moments of the period.
- Koocher capped off the night with one final goal partway through the third on a sprawling backhander in front of the crease.
