Orange Remain No. 4 in National Rankings

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse remains at No. 4 in both the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and Inside Lacrosse media national rankings. It marks the third consecutive week the Orange have held the fourth spot in the polls.

Syracuse is 6-2 overall after a 12-11 setback in overtime at No. 2/2 Maryland on Saturday. The Orange's two losses this season have been by a combined three goals to the No.1- and No. 2-ranked teams in the nation. Junior Emily Hawryschuk scored four goals against the Terrapins, giving her 26 this season. That total ranks sixth in the nation in the latest NCAA statistics.

The top four teams remained unchanged in both polls as Boston College is No. 1 for the fifth consecutive week. Maryland comes in at No. 2, while North Carolina is No. 3. Virginia moved up to No. 5 in both polls.

The Orange's stretch of consecutive games against a ranked opponent continues on Wednesday, March 13 when they face No. 16/rv Florida in Gainesville at 7 p.m. Live video will be available on YouTube.
