
#17 Orange Meet BC Sunday in Regular Season Finale

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 17th-ranked Syracuse Orange women's basketball team is back in action on Sunday as they travel to Chestnut Hill to battle Boston College in the final game of the regular season. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m. on ACCN Extra.
Syracuse (21-7, 10-5 ACC) earned a win in a thrilling 94-88 victory over No. 22/21 Florida State for the first win in Tallahassee in program history. Tiana Mangakahia matched a career-high 44 points against the Seminoles, shooting 16-for-20 from the field with eight assists, five rebounds and three steals. She first scored 44 points on Jan. 4, 2018 against Georgia Tech. Digna Strautmane and Kiara Lewis both added 10 points, shooting a combined 7-for-10 giving the Orange three players in double figures.
Mangakahia has a chance to make history on Sunday. The junior guard needs just four points to reach the 1,000-point milestone in her 60th career game. If successful, the Brisbane, Australia native would be the fastest player in program history to reach the threshold, and the fourth in program history to record 1,000 points and 500 assists.
The Eagles are coming off an 87-51 loss to Louisville on Feb. 24. Sydney Lowery led BC with 12 points and five rebounds, while Emma Guy added 10 points and four boards. Guy paces the team in overall scoring, averaging 13.9 points per contest in addition to 6.6 rebounds per game.
Syracuse leads the all-time series 30-23, but is 10-12 on the road in the series. The Orange dismantled the Eagles in a 96-69 victory last month when Miranda Drummond scored 24 points against the Eagles.Mangakahia tallied 12 assists, while Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi grabbed six rebounds and added 10 points in the win.
Syracuse currently sits in fifth place in the ACC, leading the Florida State by one game.
