SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 32nd-ranked Syracuse women's tennis team begins a five-match homestand against Atlantic Coat Conference opponents Sunday, facing off against No. 15 Florida State inside Drumlins Country Club.

First serve between the Orange and the Seminoles is set for 11 a.m. Admission and parking are free.

WHAT'S NEW WITH THE ORANGE
Syracuse (10-6 overall and 3-4 in conference play) is coming off a 5-2 loss at then-No. 15 Wake Forest last Sunday. Senior Gabriela Knutson and junior Miranda Ramirez secured Syracuse's only two points in singles play. The loss is only the Orange's second in their last eight duals.

Despite the loss, the Orange remained the 32nd-ranked team in the nation for the second straight week, according to the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll. The rankings were released Tuesday, March 19.

Knutson and Ramirez, Syracuse's top doubles duo, dropped one spot to No. 71 in the country. In singles, Knutson rose to No. 40, while Ramirez dropped to No. 90.

SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES
Florida State is the No. 15-ranked team in the nation, rising seven spots from the previous Oracle/ITA poll. They have a 14-3 record overall and a 6-1 record in ACC play.

Carla Touly is the Seminoles' only ranked competitor, rising four spots to come in at No. 26 in the country. She owns a 7-4 record in singles play this spring.

WHAT LIES AHEAD
The Orange continue their homestand at 4 p.m. next Friday, March 29, against North Carolina inside Drumlins Country Club.
