NCAA Selection Committee Has Syracuse as No. 4 Seed, 15th Overall

Syracuse, N.Y. – In the final edition of the NCAA Selection Committee Top-16 Reveal prior to the tournament selection show, the 18th-ranked Orange are tabbed as the No. 4 seed in the Portland regional and 15th overall in the top 16.
"I think it is well deserved, honestly, where we are right now with our RPI and our strength of schedule," head coach Quentin Hillsman said. "We schedule to be able to be in this position so I really think it is well deserved, our kids really earned it and they are playing hard."
Syracuse is one of five Atlantic Coast Conference schools in the selection committee's top 16 with Notre Dame and Louisville standing as No. 1 seeds. Syracuse last hosted the first and second rounds in 2016, beginning the team's run to the Final Four.
The Orange kick off action at the ACC Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. on Wednesday, March 4 where they are the No. 5 seed. Syracuse will face the winner of Virginia vs. Boston College at 11 a.m. on RSN.
