
Orange #4 in Latest RPI

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Syracuse is No. 4 in the latest NCAA women's lacrosse RPI released on Monday, April 29. In addition, the Orange held down the fourth spot in the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship Committee's top 10 revealed last week.

Syracuse (15-4) made its fifth appearance in the ACC Tournament semifinals in the last six years last weekend. The Orange defeated Virginia, which is No. 5 in the RPI, in the first round of the tournament, 12-10, Â before losing to then No. 1 Boston College, 14-13, in the semifinals.

Unbeaten Maryland is No. 1 in the RPI, followed by Boston College at No. 2 and North Carolina at No. 3. All four of Syracuse's losses this season have come against the top three teams in the rankings.

The Orange will learn their NCAA Tournament fate when the field is announced on Sunday, May 5 at 9 p.m. on NCAA.com.
