
Five Orange Selected for 2019 Young Women’s National Championship

Lancaster, Pa. – Five members of Syracuse's 2019 field hockey squad have been selected to compete in the 2019 Young Women's National Championship (YWNC) at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa., June 14-18.
Claire Cooke, Tess Queen, SJ Quigley, Syd Taylor and incoming freshman Charlotte De Vries join 139 other elite female hockey players after trying out and training at USA Field Hockey High-Performance Centers throughout the country this spring.
The 144 athletes will be split among eight teams into two balanced pools for the prestigious title of national champions. Also on the line is an opportunity to be selected to the 2020 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team and the USWNT Development team, or a trial for the U.S. Women's National Team.
USA Field Hockey encourages all field hockey enthusiasts to attend. Admission to the Young Women's National Championship is free.
