Syracuse volleyball has added Morganne Longoria as director of operations, head coach Leonid Yelin announced today.

"We are very excited to have Morganne join our staff," Yelin said. "It was evident the second we spoke with her that she is willing to do anything in her power to make this program as successful as possible. She competed at a high level, is young and ambitious, and we know she is going to be a great addition to our staff."

As director of volleyball operations, Longoria will be responsible for the general oversight and monitoring of the program's day-to-day operations, while also overseeing operational and recruiting budgets.

This also includes assisting in coordinating all team travel, coordination of pre-game and post-game meals, hotel services, arranging practice times and locations, organizing team meals and housing, and hiring and supervising team manager staff.

A standout collegiate volleyball player, Longoria played at Valparaiso University from 2013-16 where she started her career by being named to the Horizon League's All-Newcomer team before closing with Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year and All-League honors. Longoria ranks third in career digs (2,249) and helped the Crusaders go 92-43 during her career. Her efforts earned her 2016 All-America honorable mention recognition from Volleyball Magazine.

A Burlington, Wisc. native, Longoria graduated from Valparaiso in 2017 and holds a bachelor's degree in sports management with minors in business and communications.
