Drescher Joins Syracuse Volleyball as Assistant Coach

Syracuse, N.Y. – Madison Drescher, a former Oklahoma volleyball stand out, has joined the Syracuse University volleyball program as an assistant coach.
"Madison stood out in the interview process as someone who can really help continue the success of our program," said head coach Leonid Yelin. "She competed at a high level not only on the court, but in the classroom. Madison will be a great role model for our student-athletes and we are very excited to have her join our staff."
After a successful playing career with the Sooners, Drescher begins her collegiate coaching career at Syracuse. She first tested the coaching waters in in 2016 as the head coach of Oklahoma Elite, a club team based out of Norman, Oklahoma.
From 2015-18 Drescher was a letterwinner at Oklahoma where she earned All-Big XII Academic First Team honors all four years. A natural leader, Drescher was team captain in each of her final two seasons with the Sooners.
A graduate of Southlake Carroll High School in Texas, Drescher earned all-state selection and all-district honors as a senior. She helped SCHS to a third-place finish at the Texas State Championship in 2013.
Off the court, Drescher spent time volunteering in the Norman community and visited Haiti on a mission trip that helped rebuild local villages.
