2020 ACC Tourrnament Bracket
Greensboro, N.C. - The seven-team field for the 2020 ACC Tournament has been set and Syracuse University's field hockey team is the No. 3 seed. The Orange play No. 6 seed Duke (2-6, 1-4 ACC) in the first round on Thursday, Nov. 5. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. on ACC Network.
Syracuse (4-3, 3-2 ACC) and Duke met once during the regular season for a neutral site game after having to postpone a pair of scheduled contests earlier in the season. The Orange earned a 4-3 win on Oct. 10 at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex, the regional home of the U.S. Women's National Team. The victory was the first of the season for 'Cuse who has gone 4-1 since and has won three-straight games entering the ACC Tournament.
With cancelations due to the COVID-19 pandemic preventing every team from playing its full allotment of regular-season conference games, winning percentages in ACC games were used to determine this year's Championship seeding.
The 2020 ACCÂ Field Hockey Championship will not be open to the public, but ACC Network will carry all tournament action live, with Eric Frede handling play-by-play and Leah Secondo returning as color analyst.
