
Orange Duo Named to ACC All-Tournament Team

SYRACUSE, NY- Syracuse's own Charlotte de Vries and Eefke van den Nieuwenhof have been selected to the 2020 ACC Championship All-Tournament Team. Van den Nieuwenhof accounted for two goals across the Orange's two-game playoff run. De Vries leads Syracuse in shots for the season and is second on the team in goals. This is the first ACC All-Tournament recognition for both athletes.
Both de Vries and van den Nieuwenhof ranked in the top-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference in shots taken and van den Nieuwenhof was top-3 in the ACC for shots on goal.
Syracuse was the No. 3 seed going into the ACC Tournament and defeated No. 6 Duke to make it to semifinals for the first time since 2016. The team faced off against No. 2 seed and two-time national champion North Carolina where they fell 3-4 in overtime on Friday afternoon. UNC went on to defeat Louisville, 4-2, in the ACC Tournament Championship on Sunday.
