'Cuse looks to move above .500 on the season and continue its momentum after a come-from-behind win on Thursday.Â
The Orange beat Virginia Tech in a thriller at the Carrier Dome Thursday night, ending the game on a 20-6 run. Kiara Lewis capped off the victory with a go-ahead layup with 4.9 Â seconds left in regulation. The redshirt junior leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per game. Her 19 points on Thursday night was Lewis' 10th-straight game leading 'Cuse in scoring.Â
The bigs in Syracuse's lineup have been contributing on both ends of the floor of late. Both Amaya Finklea-Guity (13) and Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi (12) posted double figures in scoring Thursday night, as Finklea-Guity tied a season high. Emily Engstler joined Finklea-Guity in recording three blocks, while Djaldi-Tabdi added one against the Hokies. The Orange's 120 blocked shots leads the entire ACC and is sixth in the nation. Both Engstler and Djaldi-Tabdi enter Sunday's game among the top-5 in total blocks in the conference.Â
The Cavaliers look to rebound after a 78-68 loss to North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Thursday. Despite the loss, Virginia had four players in double figures. Tina Thompson's squad has the  ACC's leading scorer, Jocelyn Willoughby. The senior averages an impressive 19.1 points per game and has scored in double figures in all but one game this season, including nine games with 20 or more points.Â
Syracuse leads the overall series with Virginia 7-4, winning the last two meetings. Â The Orange took down the Cavaliers last season 72-68 in the Carrier Dome and in 'Cuse's first game in the ACC Tournament, 67-57.Â
