Orange Add Romee Joosten for 2020

Syracuse, N.Y – Romee Joosten, a native of Berkel-Enschot, Netherlands, will attend Syracuse University and play field hockey for the Orange this fall. Joosten is the sixth member of the incoming freshman class.
"Romee is a tenacious and aggressive defender," Orange head coach Ange Bradley said. "She plays very simple yet difficult hockey. She is outstanding at facilitating team link up play from the backfield. When I watch her play, I immediately think of Olympian Alyssa Manley '16. Her work ethic, grit, desire and passion for competition is fun to watch."
Joosten brings a high level of championship experience to the Orange roster. She helped her team win the 2018-19 national championship in the Netherlands and is a three-time Suddurn Part Champion. The team was the second place finisher in 2016-17 and 2019-20 in the national championship game.
"Ambitions and expectations are very high at Syracuse and I like that," Joosten said. "After I met my future teammates I knew for sure that Syracuse was the best choice for me."
