SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange travels south this weekend to play at Miami and Florida State . The first match will kick off in the Knights Sports Complex against the Hurricanes at 7 p.m. on Friday. The Orange then go to Tallahassee to play the Seminoles on Sunday at 12 p.m. Syracuse (15-7 overall, 4-6 ACC) beat Clemson 3-0 this past weekend.
Orange Leaders
Junior Marina Markova tops the ACC in kills (328). She is second in kills per set (4.21).
Polina Shemanova leads the ACC in service aces (32) and is ranked third in aces per set (0.45) and kills (317). Senior Elena Karakasi is second in the ACC for assists (758).
The Series vs. Miami, FSU
This will be the 12th match between the Orange and the Hurricanes; Miami leads the series 9-2.
The Orange are looking for their first win against the Seminoles.
The Opponents
Miami (17-3 overall, 8-2 ACC) is also receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll.
Florida State (14-5 overall, 7-3 ACC) most recently beat Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
