Syracuse travels to play at #3 Pittsburgh on Friday and at Virginia on Sunday. The Orange and Panthers play at 7 pm on Friday (ACCNX). On Sunday Syracuse (15-9 overall, 4-8 ACC) will play at Virginia at Noon.

Orange Leaders
Junior Marina Markova leads the ACC in kills (381) and is second in kills per set (4.38) and attacks (832). Markova ranks in the top 20 in the nation in kills (381) and is top 25 in kills per set (4.38).

Polina Shemanova is second in the ACC in service aces (33) and third in kills (344). Senior Elena Karakasi is second in the ACC for assists (845).

The Series vs. Pittsburgh, Virginia
This is the 52nd time the Orange and the Panthers (20-2 overall, 10-2 ACC) will meet; Pittsburgh leads the series 40-11. Syracuse won against the Panthers in straight sets in both matches in 2020-21.

The Orange have played the Cavaliers 12 times and lead the series 9-3.

The Opponents
The Panthers two losses are to ranked ACC opponents.

The Cavaliers (8-14, 1-11) are 4-6 against at home this season.

50 YEARS OF SYRACUSE WOMEN'S ATHLETICS
Orange alumni, fans and friends are invited to share in a year-long celebration of 50 years of Syracuse University women's athletics. Events and special recognition of all female student-athletes who have donned the Block S to represent Syracuse University and the Athletics Department since 1971-72 will be held throughout the 2021-22 seasons. As we celebrate this history, we acknowledge those who have gone before us to set the standard we strive to achieve today so we can pave the way for the future. We reflect on the history of women in sport, admire their sacrifices, recognize their contributions and accomplishments, and honor their legacy.
