Orange Make Their Return to Princeton Chase Sunday

The Syracuse men's rowing team travels to New Jersey for the Princeton Chase this weekend. The Orange make their first appearance at Princeton Chase since 2017.

In the morning session, which begins at 9 a.m., 'Cuse will race four varsity heavyweight eight boats. In the second round the Orange will race a varsity heavyweight eight at 12:00 p.m. and three coxed fours at 12:35 p.m.

Last time Syracuse competed at Princeton Chase, the Orange placed third overall in the V8+. The 2V8 placed eighth and the 3V was 26^th. 'Cuse also raced five coxed fours in the varsity heavyweight category placing four boats in the top-20 and all five in the top-30. The Four A finished 4^th overall in the event.

Princeton Chase is the final fall race for the Orange before heading into winter training. In Syracuse's first race of the fall, the Head of the Charles, the Championship 8+ placed fifth overall and the championship 4+, which featured oarsmen from the second and third varsity eights, placed seventh in their respective event.
